what should you bring to the evaluation?

1 -Clothing: sports bra, shorts and/or tights

2 - X-Rays or other types of images showing the full spine Neck to Sacrum. The angle of the x-ray should be the front to back (anterior to posterior) and the side profile (sagittal) .

how do we evaluate your spine?

We begin by taking pictures of your spine from each side of your profile. We utilize this to document changes throughout the span of our visits. We also use these images to develop education materials after your visit so you can understand your scoliosis better.

As a spine bends it also rotates. This creates a trunk rotation. We will use a scoliometer to measure the trunk rotation related to your curvature(s).

At the end of your evaluation you will go home with the the knowledge of how to sit, stand and sleep in a better position for your spine. You will receive your first introduction to Schroth Breathing and a strengthening exercise in relation to your spine.
